I am forever grateful for the vision of Royal Generation. The RG Community Baby Shower did disappoint and provided me with the things I needed most. The staff and volunteers were so kind. It felt like I was with my own family.
“When I first found out I was pregnant I would journal heavily because I wanted my son to get to know me just in case, I didn't get to meet him. Such a heavy mindset to have at the beginning of my pregnancy. I understood that could be my reality. Although I was excited about becoming a mom, I did have the fear that I could either lose my child or my child and husband could lose me.
“All I can say is WOW! I heard Michele LaMarr-Suggs speak at a maternal health summit and she was probably the most dynamic passionate speaker I have ever heard discuss this topic. Not only was she knowledgeable but is actually turning it into action in the community! We need more people to occupy this space like her!

It is unbelievable how much I received from Royal Generation’s Community Baby Shower! My midwife, Michele LaMarr-Suggs is WONDERFUL! You don’t often see to many professionals moving like this outside of their offices. She sees us as mother’s first, then her patients. I really feel cared for by her.
My kids heard about your community baby shower event and were inspired to host a lemonade stand to raise money for you!
I just happened to be walking by the park where you were hosting your event and was drawn to come in. At the time I was walking with my 2-year-old and expecting my second child. I was so depressed and contemplating suicide. One of your staff saw me, immediately engaged with me and without hesitation prayed me. Little did she know that was the prayer I needed, and it changed my life literally. I was met with resources, prayer, and even received a free breastfeeding consultation. Please, keep doing what you are doing. It really is making a difference in the lives of so many people. WE NEED YOU!”
